Brief Description STORM SURGE WARNING
Detailed Description 11:13 AM EST Tuesday 28 November 2023 Storm Surge Warning in effect for: Natashquan Warning of potential breaking sea conditions and coastal flooding issued jointly by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (Science) and the Meteorological Service of Canada - Quebec Region. Higher than normal water levels and large waves are expected near the coast on Tuesday. An intense low pressure system over Labrador will give strong winds over the areas specified below. The combination of these winds and the current period of high tidal ranges could produce minor breaking sea conditions along the coast in and around the following locales on the dates and at the times specified (local time). Minganie: 2023-11-28, from 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM. Natashquan: 2023-11-28, from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM. Chevery: 2023-11-28, from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Coastal flooding is possible along the shoreline. Coastal erosion is possible in vulnerable areas. Storm surge warnings are issued when water levels pose a threat to coastal regions.
