Detailed Description Corrected surf heights and additional details. . HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CHST MONDAY. . HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON. * WHAT. Large breaking waves between 7 to 11 feet and dangerous rip currents. * WHERE. North facing reefs of the Marianas. For the High Rip Current Risk, north and east facing reefs. * WHEN. For the High Surf Advisory, until 4 PM ChST Monday. For the High Rip Current Risk, through Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. Long-period northerly swell continues to move through the Marianas, producing hazardous surf and dangerous rip currents along north-facing reefs through Monday afternoon. A broad tropical disturbance developing to the southwest of the Marianas and a shear line across the CNMI will lead to an increase in north to northeast swell. This will also cause a high risk of rip currents along east facing reefs through the weekend.
