11:44 PM MDT Saturday 13 August 2022 Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for: M.D. of Lesser Slave River near Slave Lake and Saulteaux M.D. of Lesser Slave River near Smith and Fawcett Lake At 11:44 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain. This cluster of thunderstorms is located from west of Flatbush to Myrnam and is moving 40 km/h to the north and east. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors! Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
