| Detailed Description |
7:29 PM EST Wednesday 29 November 2023 Wind Warning in effect for: Pangnirtung Very strong wind gusts that may cause damage are expected or occurring. Very strong easterly wind gusts up to 100 km/h are occurring in Pangnirtung this evening. These wind gusts will continue through the evening and are expected to weaken overnight tonight. However, very strong wind gusts will once again return on Thursday evening and are likely to be even stronger than today''s winds, with gusts expected near 130 km/h. The winds are expected to diminish Friday morning. Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Utility outages may occur. Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
