5:52 PM CST Wednesday 18 September 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for: R.M. of Moosomin including Moosomin Welwyn and Fleming At 5:52 PM CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain. This severe thunderstorm is located near Moosomin and is moving towards the north-northwest at 40 km/h. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
