Brief Description Special Weather Statement
Detailed Description What: Strong gusty southwesterly winds is probable. When: This evening through tomorrow. Where: - South Thompson - Shuswap - Nicola - Coquihalla Highway - Merritt to Kamloops - Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt - Okanagan Connector - Merritt to Kelowna - Fraser Valley - East including Hope - Manning - Skagit Valley - Similkameen - Highway 3 - Hope to Princeton via Allison Pass - Okanagan Valley - Boundary - West Kootenay - Highway 3 - Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass - East Kootenay - south including Cranbrook Remark: A cold front associated with a strong low pressure system passing through northern British Columbia today will sweep across the Southern Interior from this evening through tomorrow. Strong and gusty southwesterly winds will develop this evening across the Thompson and Shuswap regions, then spread southward as the cold front moves through the province. Gusty winds will continue until the system exits tomorrow evening. Local utility outages are possible. High-sided vehicles will be pushed around by the wind. Secure lose objects.
