Brief Description WIND WARNING
Detailed Description 5:13 AM PDT Sunday 24 September 2023 Wind Warning in effect for: East Vancouver Island - Courtenay to Campbell River East Vancouver Island - Nanoose Bay to Fanny Bay Significant fall storm will arrive tonight. Where: East Vancouver Island from Campbell River to Nanoose Bay, Sunshine Coast north of Saltery Bay. When: Tonight to Monday morning. Remarks: A strong frontal system will arrive tonight bringing rain and strong winds. Winds will rise to southeast 70 km/h gusting to 90 near the northern Strait of Georgia this evening. Winds will ease Monday morning but remain quite strong through Tuesday. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
