| Detailed Description | 5:23 AM EDT Tuesday 17 September 2024 Heat Warning in effect for: Timmins - Cochrane - Iroquois Falls Heat event is expected to continue Today. Daytime humidex values are expected to reach 36. The heat event is expected to end this evening. Extreme heat can affect everyone?s health. Drink plenty of water regularly, even before you feel thirsty to decrease your risk of dehydration. Thirst is not a good indicator of dehydration. Check several times a day on older family, friends and neighbours. Make sure they are cool and drinking water. Never leave people, particularly children, or pets inside a parked vehicle.
