Brief Description RAINFALL WARNING
Detailed Description 8:04 AM PST Tuesday 5 December 2023 Rainfall Warning in effect for: Fraser Valley Rain, at times heavy, continues. Where: The Fraser Valley. When: This morning and early afternoon.. Further rainfall amounts: 10 to 20 mm. Remarks: A potent and impactful storm, an atmospheric river, is over the Fraser Valley and is bringing heavy rain. Very heavy rainfall and rain on snow at higher elevations will increase the risk of flooding and landslides. This storm will slowly ease throughout the day.. As it does, the rain will taper off to showers late this morning in most areas although it may linger in the eastern Fraser Valley until this afternoon. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
