| Detailed Description |
5:25 AM PST Monday 4 December 2023 Wind Warning in effect for: Central Coast - coastal sections Winds southeast 90 km/h gusting to 120 over exposed coastal locations. Where: Haida Gwaii, North Coast - coastal sections, Central Coast - coastal sections and North Vancouver Island. When: This morning and this afternoon. Remarks: A frontal system moving through Haida Gwaii this morning is generating strong southeast winds over north and central coastal B.C and northern Vancouver Island. Winds will increase to southeast 90 km/h gusting to 120 over exposed coastal locations ahead of the front early this morning and then ease below warning criteria this afternoon with the passage of the system. High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
