| Detailed Description |
5:01 AM PST Friday 8 December 2023 Wind Warning in effect for: Haida Gwaii Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring. Where: Exposed coastal sections of North Vancouver Island, Central Coast, North Coast and Haida Gwaii. When: Early Saturday morning until late Saturday. Remarks: A strong frontal system will cross the North and Central coast from tonight to Saturday afternoon. Winds will rise to southeast 80 gusting to 110 km/h early Saturday, then ease Saturday evening. Mainland inlets on the North Coast may also experience strong northeast outflow winds up to 90 km/h from early Saturday morning until Saturday afternoon. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches.
