Yellow Warning - Cold -
Detailed Description
Strong winds combined with very cold temperatures will result in dangerous wind chills. Locations: central and coastal Labrador. Coldest wind chills: near -40. Time span: tonight into Thursday morning. Wind chills could approach - 40 again Thursday night into Friday morning over northern Labrador. ### Risks are greater for young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors, and those without proper shelter. Cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.
