| Detailed Description |
10:41 AM AST Thursday 7 December 2023 Blowing Snow Advisory in effect for: Cartwright to Black Tickle Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected or occurring in some locations. Total snowfall: 7 to 15 cm. Maximum wind gusts: northwesterly 80 km/h. Location: Rigolet to Black Tickle. Time span: this afternoon and this evening. Remarks: Visibility should improve tonight as temperatures rise above the freezing mark and snow begins to mix with rain. Poor visibility may persist longer inland and over higher terrain. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Blowing snow advisories are issued when winds are expected to create blowing snow giving poor visibility to 800 metres or less for at least 3 hours.
