Brief Description Special Weather Statement
Detailed Description Rainfall of 2 to 8 inches over the past 24 hours has increased soil moisture to moderate levels across western Washington. Additional rainfall of around 1 to 2 inches is expected into Wednesday. This amount of rain will put extra pressure on soil instability, leading to an increased threat of landslides. A few landslides have already been reported in various locations in western Washington. A few small landslides have been reported in the Seattle area. More landslides remain possible through Wednesday.
